Do these in order

1. 1

   Create an account

   Open app.optimaatti.fi, register and sign in.

   Done: Done when you reach the Optimaatti home view.

2. 2

   Copy connection details

   Open Connection details in Optimaatti. Copy server, port, username and password.

   Done: Done when the four values are visible or saved.

3. 3

   Connect the device to your home network

   New Shelly (Gen2+): add it directly with the Optimaatti app over Bluetooth — the app sets both the Wi-Fi and the Optimaatti connection, so you can skip the next step. Other device or older Shelly: open the device app and connect it to your home Wi-Fi.

   Done: Done when the device appears in Optimaatti (Bluetooth) or the manufacturer app.

4. 4

   Enter connection details on the device

   For the manual Wi-Fi method only: open the device connection settings (called MQTT on the device) and paste the four values exactly. For a Shelly added over Bluetooth this is already done.

   Done: Done when the settings are saved.

5. 5

   Check Optimaatti

   Return to Optimaatti and open Devices. Wait calmly for 1-2 minutes.

   Done: Done when the device appears on the Devices page.

6. 6

   Create the first rule

   Choose an easy template, such as cheapest hours, and save the rule.

   Done: Done when you can see when the device will turn on next.
